About the Founder
Maddie Bien
Madeleine (Maddie) Bien created La Vie Bien in 2024 from a strong desire to build her own business in an effort to achieve financial freedom and to help take care of her family. She began designing products on Etsy, and from there, she grew La Vie Bien into a larger gift shop offering gifts from many different partners around the globe, featuring other small businesses and Fair Trade Verified organizations.
Maddie's passion and focus is to offer unique gifts that appreciate the diverse culture and community around her. Growing up in Michigan, she realized there was a need for a more culturally diverse offering of products that would cater to the multicultural communities in and around Southeast Michigan.
In her free time, Maddie enjoys drinking tea, cuddling with her cats, and performing in community theatre productions.
